By the end of the course, learners will be able to:
-Know the stroke standards and accreditation from nursing perspective and the role of nursing staff in stroke systems of care.
-Know and apply a patient-centered approach to post-stroke care.
-Know the nursing perspective in stroke research.
-Know the acute ischemic stroke management guidelines update.
-Know the basics of stroke rehabilitation, patient handling and the benefit of early rehabilitation in the acute inpatient units.
